Embrace Your Zone of Genius and Thrive with Collaborations

I have to admit, I was fighting my zone of genius because I wanted to be great at something I admired seeing other people do in Design. But I sucked at it and was holding me back more than I thought.

Do you ever find yourself striving to be good at everything, even the things you're not particularly talented at? I get it, especially when you are passionate about a lot of things you like to do. Or want to do. So it's natural to want to excel in all areas, but the truth is, we all have a unique set of skills and strengths that we should focus on instead of trying to improve our weaknesses (the skill sets that is, not the person we strive to be).

I’ve been diving into understanding the “zone of genius” I’ve been hearing lately. The concept of the "zone of genius" is all about leaning into your natural talents and skills to create meaningful and impactful work. When you focus on what you're good at, you're able to create work that not only feels fulfilling but also makes a real difference in the world.

Of course, this doesn't mean you have to do everything alone. In fact, collaborating with others who have complementary skills can help you achieve even greater success. By working with others, you can let your expertise shine while also learning from others and broadening your skills.

So, don't be afraid to embrace your zone of genius and seek out collaborations that allow you to do what you do best. Remember, it's okay to let go of the things you're not great at and allow others to step in and shine in their own unique way.

I hope this message inspires you to focus on your strengths and seek out opportunities to collaborate with others. Here’s to creating amazing things through collaboration!
